Golf courses

One of the most sought after golf destinations in the Midwest, the BLA is home to several courses consistently ranked as the top destinations in the country. Grandview Lodge Courses, Deacon's Lodge, Craguns and Maddens all fight for the top spots. Each has their merits and offers a different play. That all said, don’t forget about Pirates Cove, WIldwedge or any of the local mini-golf offerings. Regardless of the level of play you’re looking for, the BLA has a course for you.

Breweries/distilleries

The BLA is a craft beer drinker’s paradise. 8 breweries can be found from Brainerd to Walker, Jackpine, Portage, Roundhouse and Snarky Loon to name a few favorites. Great homegrown beers and fun social hangouts! Beer not your jam? New to the area is a local distillery and tasting room, 5Rocks Distillery. Many of our restaurants love supporting local beers on tap as well so it’s easy to get a taste of the North.
